Repair
As an independent and privately owned elevator company, we have the flexibility to explore all possible repair and service options within your budget before resorting to full equipment replacement. As part of our service agreement, we respond to breakdowns or other issues within two hours of your phone call, any time of the day. In cases of entrapment, our service tech’s can be on-location in 30 to 60 minutes.
Maintenance
When you invest in a Start Elevator maintenance plan, you’re investing in the lifetime reliability of your equipment and a lifelong partnership. During routine maintenance our skilled workers will look for issues that may cause breakdowns and resolve them immediately. This will help you avoid frustrating downtime. We have dedicated staff in each borough/area we serve, maintenance and repairs are never more than a phone call away. As soon as the work is complete, you’ll receive an email notification.
Modernization
Elevators and Dumbwaiters are permanent fixtures in your building. As with all infrastructure, they will require upgrades with age as technology changes and equipment become less reliable. Start Elevator Company is here to help you determine which upgrades are necessary and whether other systems may be affected (such as Fire Alarm Panels and HVAC).
Violation
At Start Elevator we have a specialized inspections department that has a dedicated staff knowledgeable on all recent changes to D.O.B. regulations and has an excellent track record of avoiding these penalties for our clients. Working with Start Elevator will ensure that your building will always remain compliant according to D.O.B. inspection guidelines.
Testing/Incpection
Start Elevator has the expertise, the knowledge, and the knowhow to ensure that your elevator service will be in compliance with all N.Y.C. D.O.B. codes that are applicable to your elevator system. At Start Elevator, Whether you need work permits, inspections, testing cat 1 or cat 5, final inspection tests or violation removals, Start Elevator will timely file all necessary D.O.B. paper work to either obtain permits, remove violations, as well as represent clients at all phases of D.O.B. hearings. We will argue on your behalf to receive the best outcome possible if a hearing should be scheduled by a D.O.B. inspector.
