John “Jack” O’Shea came to America with 200 dollars in his pocket and an unrelenting desire to succeed. One of his first jobs was to wash dishes in exchange for meals. Soon Jack found his way into the elevator business with Flynn Hill Elevator as a mechanic’s helper. Jack learned his craft well and in 1992 opened Start Elevator, LLC. His commitment and work ethic is at the foundation of the company’s success. His tireless efforts have enabled Start Elevator to become the one of most trusted and successful independent elevator company in New York.
Over the years Jack has set a standard for service and reliability that has allowed Start Elevator to provide services to some the most respected companies and owners in the real estate community.
A very humble individual, his philanthropic efforts and desire to give back to the community has been widely documented.
